Boris Grinchenko University of Kyiv is the only metropolitan university. The university belongs to the territorial community of Kyiv. General information
The Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University was established in 1993 taking into account the needs of the peoples returning from deportation. More than half of the specialties of the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University are accredited at the IV level, the university as a whole – at the IV level.
Former names: Crimean State Engineering and Pedagogical University, Crimean State Industrial and Pedagogical Institute.
In the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University at seven faculties (Faculty of Informatics, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Crimean Tatar and Turkish Philology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of History and Philology) 7,000 students study 23 specialties. More than 500 teachers work at 32 departments, including 43 doctors of sciences and professors, 226 candidates of sciences and associate professors. A Research Center for the Crimean Tatar Language and Literature has been established at the University (Director – Ismail Asanovich Kerimov, Ph.D., Professor).

General information
Kramatorsk Institute of Economics and Humanities (KEGI) was founded in 1992 on the basis of Donetsk Open University. In 1994, according to the decision of the City Council of People’s Deputies of Kramatorsk No. 446, the institute was transformed into an independent higher education institution with a collective form of ownership.
By the decision of the State Accreditation Commission of Ukraine of June 3, 1998, the Kramatorsk Institute of Economics and Humanities was among the first non-governmental universities to be accredited at the III level and received the right to issue state diplomas.
