Boris Johnson has called on the UK to stop using the term “mottram” after London Mayor Boris Johnson said it could potentially be used on a terrorist’s Twitter account.

Mr Johnson told reporters that he had spoken to “several” authorities to suggest using the phrase in future.

A BBC spokeswoman said: “BBC London made a request for clarification after Mr Johnson’s comments which it did not receive.”
