Campaspe shire plans rates rise for residents

The new rate for new rental units for 2016 is $3.40 per square foot, down from the previous rate of $3.60. The council approved the move last week to ease some of the pressure on rental rates, which have already been rising in the city for years.

The move comes after the housing board’s board of director recommended the new rate is about 20 percent higher than the current rate.
Council has also said it would continue to encourage development through the town’s housing portfolio — with new homes, as well as the establishment of new affordable housing units on the outskirts.
But, the council’s executive director, Joe Rizzo, wants to see the city expand the existing stock of subsidized u바카라사이트nits beyond its current 5,200 rental units.

According to the city’s report, an increasing number of people in the area have difficulty finding homes. In 2015, 9,800 people moved into the area from other regions, including New Kent, Bayside and New Windsor, while 8,300 moved out.
Last year, the population of the area jumped slightly but was expected to stay flat or even decrease by 10,000 over the next 12 months.
