Accused prostitute murderer to appear in court again

The woman charged with murdering a Montreal man after a sex party at a hotel room on Tuesday has been denied bail.

The accused was granted conditional bail in the Ontario Court of Justice at noon Thursday morning by Justice Michael Zwilling.

On the day of the killing, the victim, 27, was killed after being robbed of her cellphone, according to police.

The accused, 33, is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery, assault and possession of cocaine. He is to appear in court again in May for trial.

There have also been separate sex-offender trials in Toronto in 2016 that have involved multiple women.

In the May 2016 trial of a 24-year-old victim in that case, the woman was convicted of killing a 22-year-old Montrealer named Jessica Lebouche in a taxi following a sex party on the night of Oct. 19, 2015.

A year later, Lebouche was found alive in a bathtub at her Montreal home on March 12, 2016.

A second trial is now scheduled for June 20, 2016 in Montreal.
